Experience the magic of the 2026 Winter Games
Cortina, true emotions
From February 6 to Februaury 22, 2026, Italy is going to host a major international winter sports event, with competitions taking place between Milan and the stunning Cortina d’Ampezzo in the UNESCO Dolomites.
This will be the third time Italy has hosted an event of this level in winter sports (after Cortina d’Ampezzo 1956 and Turin 2006).
From March 6 to March 15, 2026, the Paralympic version of the event, featuring competitions for athletes with disabilities, is going to take place. This will be the second in Italy after Turin 2006.
Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Dolomites once again prove to be the ideal destinations for top-level winter sports.
Besides Cortina, competitions will also be held in other locations in Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige,
including Anterselva, Tesero and Predazzo, offering spectacular experiences combining sports and natural landscapes.
Which competitions will take place in Cortina
Cortina d’Ampezzo will host the women’s alpine skiing and para alpine skiing competitions on the Olimpia delle Tofane slope; the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events on the Eugenio Monti track at the new Sliding Centre; while at the renovated Olympic Ice Stadium, spectators will be able to attend the curling and wheelchair curling competitions.
The Cortina Snowboard Park, within the Tofane ski area in the Socrepes locality on the historic San Zan slope, will be the stage for para snowboard athletes. Cortina will also host the Paralympic Closing Ceremony.
Anterselva, in the province of Bolzano, will host the biathlon competitions, while in the province of Trento, in Tesero, the cross-country skiing, para cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, and para biathlon events will take place. Predazzo will instead be the venue for ski jumping.
